Aventurine
Green Aventurine is a silicon dioxide mineral and a form of Quartz, and as such it is a good energy amplifier. It was first reported in 1837 by J.D. Dan, and its colour depends on the inclusions of other minerals, for example, green is a product of tiny Fuchsite particles, whereas Red comes from tiny inclusions of Haematite. Aventurine was named after the Italian word “a Ventura”, which means “by chance”.
In ancient Greece it was used in magic rituals to invoke opportunity, luck, and fortune, becoming known as the gamblers stone by medieval Europe.
