Black Tourmaline
95% of tourmaline found is black, with the remaining 5% covering all the colours of a rainbow. Historically Black tourmaline was named “Schorl” after it was found in Saxony, Germany, sometime in the 1400s. Used my medieval magicians to protect them from earth demons whilst they cast spells, it is also used by shamans due to the belief that it brings great healing powers to the user whilst protecting them from all dangers.
Shards or needles of Black Tourmaline can be found in Clear Quartz, known as Tourmalinated Quartz, combining the healing properties of both stones.
